My Hobby

    Hobby is a useful work that we do in our leisure time without any financial (مالی) benefits. We take interest in it and derive pleasure by doing it. This occupation (قبضہ)is quite apart from our regular work. There is no derth of hobbies in this world. The people adopt hobbies according to their taste and interest. There are many hobbies like gardening (باغبانی), Stamp- collecting, coin collecting, photography, pen-friendship, reading, etc. Hobbies provide entertainment and amusement.

    Gardening is my favourite hobby. I live in a big house which has two big grassy lawns ( لان گھاس). There is open space for vegetation (پودوں) , fruit and flowers. I have grown flower plants of rose. Lily and sunflower (سورج مکھی). There are flowers of different colours which present a very charming (دلکش) look. The whole atmosphere (ماحول) at home is fragrant (خوشبودار) with their smell. They add beauty to the home. I have planted fruits trees as well. They yield (پیداوار) fruit in their seasons.

    There is adequate (مناسب) growth of vegetables in the compound (مرکب) of the house. Therefore, we seldom purchase any vegetable from the bazaar. it is my sincere (مخلص) friend and inspire me whenever I am depressed(اداس ). When I cast a glance (نظر) at my small garden and see the beautiful dancing flowers, my heart blossoms (پھول).

    Life is a continuous struggle. If we rest, we rust. If we work we shine. The people give us credit. Moreover, an empty mind is a devil’s workshop. It is better for us to lead a busy life. Struggle in life itself gives pleasure to a man.

    Therefore, hobby is an interesting pursuit (حصول) through which a person derives (ماخوذ ہے) pleasure. Recreation (تفریح)and amusement in his leisure. My hobby relieves (حاجت) me of the monotony (اکتاہٹ) and melancholy of mind. It is a source of pleasure and refreshment (تازگی) for me.
