The Village Life

Village life

William Cowper says, “God made the country, the man mad the town”. A village is a small town situated (واقع)in a country area. A village is a very lovely and charming place. Beautiful natural scenes are its greatest charms there. There nature is always in full swing. The thick growth of trees forms tunnels. The place looks like a paradise (جنت) on the earth. There are green trees, vast meadows (وسیع گھاس کا میدان), flowery bushes and murmuring streams (گنگنانے والی نہریں). The fields with growing crops present a beautiful and charming sight. There are comfortable (آرام دہ) and shady places under the trees. The old people often gossip (گپ شپ)there. The spring season visits the village earlier than it does any other place. Flowers go on blooming (کھلی ہوئی)even late in the year.

The life in our villages is very simple, peaceful and nature. The villagers are the children of nature. They are simple, sincere (مخلص)and frank(بے تکلف). They are free from hypocrisy (منافقت) and artificiality (مصنوعی). They have no high ambition of life. They lead a contented (راضی) life. They enjoy real peace of mind because they are free from the unnecessary (غیر ضروری) worries and responsibilities (ذمہ داریاں) of life. Therefore, they can enjoy sound sleep unlike the people living in cities.

Life in a village is very peaceful. It is free from the dust noise of traffic as well as the smoke and dirt produced (تیار کیا) by the factories. Its atmosphere (ماحول) is pollution free. The villagers can enjoy fresh air, open sunshine (دھوپ) and the beautiful scenes of nature like the green fields, tall hills, murmuring streams(گنگنانے والی نہریں), chirping birds(چہچہاتے پرندے), etc. There is no fear of adulteration (ملاوٹ) as faced by the people living in cities. The flour, milk, ghee, vegetables, fruit and other things of daily use can be available vigorous (بھرپور ) than the people living in cities.

Village life in Pakistan has some draw- backs(خرابیاں). Most of the villagers are far away from the cities and markets. There are no facilities of transport, electricity, hospital, educational institutions (اداروں) for different kinds of education and higher education. Therefore, a vast majority of people remain uneducated (ان پڑھ), backward and poor. The government should take special steps to provide all facilities of life to the villagers.
